Noel Coward's comedy of manners in which Nigel, Earl of Marshwood, falls in love with Miranda Frayle (played by Michelle Gomez), an American film star who still has feelings for a fellow actor and who turns out to be the long lost sister of Nigel's mother's maid. The Countess of Marshwood was played by Susan Hampshire.
