Michelle Gomez has been announced as a guest at two upcoming comic cons: Dublin on 11th & 12th March and Liverpool on 1st & 2nd April 2023. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this will be Michelle's first convention appearance in four years! I wish I could attend both but I've opted for Dublin, if only because it was announced first and I didn't want to miss out. The landing date for the second season of The Flight Attendant has just been announced as 21st April on HBOMax and a teaser trailer has been posted to the official TFA social media accounts. Michelle Gomez played the badass assassin Miranda who mysteriously disappeared at the end of the first season with the suggestion that she she was alive after being assumed dead. It isn't yet known how much of Miranda we might see in the second season, we only know that Michelle was filming in Iceland with the rest of the cast. I can't wait to find out more!

The Loud House Movie hit Netflix yesterday and, without a doubt, the highlight of the film is Michelle Gomez performing the song "The Duchess I Will Be", in which she shows off her considerable vocal talents and her deliciously villainous cackle. The song is available to buy on various platforms as is the rest of the film's soundtrack, and here it is on YouTube. Enjoy!

Big Finish announced yesterday that that the third series of the Missy audio dramas will be released on 30th September 2021. Subtitled "Missy and the Monk", the new series will reunite Michelle Gomez as Missy with Rufus Hound reprising his role of the Meddling Monk. Missy Series 03 is already available to pre-order from the Big Finish website.

In other news, the Twitter account @NetflixGeeked has teased a Netflix release date of 20th August 2021 for The Loud House Movie, an animated film in which Michelle Gomez will voice a character named Morag alongside fellow Whovian David Tennant. With ...

I've found it!!! That elusive mystery programme referred to in Michelle Gomez's biographies only as "Pinkerton Files" is in fact a half-hour dramatised documentary for BBC Scotland called "Pinkerton - The Eye That Never Sleeps". It was shown on BBC 1 Scotland as part of the Scottish arts series "EX-S" and starred Peter Capaldi as the famous private detective Allan Pinkerton. Yes, Michelle and Peter have worked together before Doctor Who!

I've just added new images of theatre programmes, flyers and other publicity material to the theatre listings for Boeing Boeing, The Taming of the Shrew and If There Is I haven't Found It Yet, all from the Very Gomez private collection. Yes, that means they're mine ;)

In other news, I believe I may have finally, at long last, solved the mystery of "Pinkerton Files"!! That is, I have found a programme that fits the bill perfectly. I'm still looking for proof that it is the Michelle Gomez early work I'm searching for so I won't say any more until I've confirmed it.

Very exciting news that Doom Patrol S3 is expected to premiere on HBO Max on 26th August 2021 with episodes 1 & 2 both airing the same day. This is according to Lance Aufresser of The Doom Patrol Facebook Group. It was announced in March that Michelle Gomez will be joining the third season cast as a series regular, playing Madame Rouge, "a complicated and electrifying eccentric".

Additionally Doom Patrol has just been renewed for a fourth season, though no other details have been released yet for S4.

Some months ago I began searching for a television programme called "The Ladies' Man" or "The Lady's Man" as it's variously named in a number of Michelle Gomez's bios in theatre programmes, including the one shown for Trainspotting, as well as in a BBC press release from 2004. IMDB has no such programme listed for her and just the name and indication that it was a Granada production isn't much to go on. However, with some detective work and a bit of lateral thinking, I identified a strong candidate shortly before the world shut down to pandemia.

The Keeper of Archives and Collections at RCS has been extremely helpful and I owe him a debt of gratitude for sending me copies of the original programmes for those productions.
