While her daughter seeks comfort following her husband's funeral, Jackie (Michelle Gomez) and her mother reflect on their own experiences of losing their husbands at a young age. Jackie has a flashback to her husband's hospital bedside, taunting the doctor with the Eastenders' drum beats. Speaking with a northern English accent throughout, Jackie suggests games to lift her daughter's spirits and confesses one or two guilty secrets.
