The episode begins with Talia (Michelle Gomez) setting fire to a building then walking away from the explosion carrying a stolen case. While an ex-cop is hired to find her and recover the stolen items, his partner, the immortal Amanda, recognises her as a fellow immortal who saved her life during the French Revolution and to whom she still owes that debt. A game of cat and mouse ensues as Talia and Amanda vie for the contents of the stolen case and for their lives.
