While admiring clothes in Sabine's studio, Eliette is recruited by Paul Sabine to bring his old mentor and rival Frederic Lemaire (Michael Kitchen) to a surprise luncheon "in his honour". In the car outside the restaurant, Lemaire is suspicious and Eliette has to coax him to accompany her.
Once in the dining room, Eliette admires the fashions on display and carries out Sabine's request, honouring Lemaire with a speech and a toast to his career, unaware that she is complicit in a plan different from the one she thought.
